Why do we give?
Giving to a local church is a critical exercise of faith. Biblical giving is meant to be sacrificial and consistent. Giving of personal financial resources rebels against a selfish & greedy worldview, and deepens our faith in God, His provision, and protection.
“Each person must do just as he or she has purposed in their heart to do, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Ways to give
Giving at Faith Bible Church is up to each individual or family. Pray and ask God for specific direction concerning your giving. The Old Testament idea of a ten percent tithe is actually not what we see in the New Testament church. We see giving as a matter of discipleship, freedom and sacrifice with the goal of building God’s Kingdom. While ten percent may be a great place to start praying and planning, we encourage each individual and family to prayerfully consider regular, sacrificial giving. Trust God and step out in faith.
In an effort to streamline the giving process, we've moved to a new system: Pushpay. With Pushpay, you can quickly give one-time and/or set up a recurring gift via credit, debit, or ACH. The easiest way to get started is to text 'give2fbc' to 77977. You'll receive a link to download the free Pushpay app. You can choose to direct your donation to a specific area or ministry such as the building fund, missions, benevolence, and more. For more information about Pushpay, please contact Patty Hardaway.
The fastest, most convenient way to give is with the Pushpay app, available for both iOS and Android. It's simple, secure, and quick. You can securely store your payment information in the app and send a gift in seconds.
Cash or Check
Rather than pass a collection plate on Sunday, we have decided instead to encourage members of our family to give as the Lord leads them by placing their gifts in boxes which we place near the doors on the inside of the Worship Center.
