LEAD TEAM 6
6th graders, get ready for an awesome year serving the church, making new friends, and growing in your faith!
WHAT IS LEAD TEAM 6?
LEAD TEAM 6 is a leadership & discipleship program just for 6th graders. The purpose of this program is to give your kids an opportunity to learn how God has made them and how He wants them to be part of His work in the Church.
What WILL they LEARN?
Each meeting we have teaching time, small groups, and teams.
In teaching/small groups, we learn about Spiritual Gifts, personality, leadership principles, serving, evangelism, etc. Each month, kids choose from several teams (tech, worship, preschool, greeting, etc.). During teams time, they are trained for their team so they can serve on Sundays. Most serving happens in The Loft during the 10:40 Sunday service. 6th graders can try many teams and don’t have to try the teams they aren't interested in.
HOW BIG IS THE COMMITMENT?
Kids must commit to attending all Wednesday meetings (once per month) and be present at church Sunday mornings during 10:40 service as much as possible. LEAD TEAM 6 is a big commitment and requires a level of maturity and trustworthiness. If you’re concerned about this for your child, please contact Sarah Morgan.
WHEN DO THEY MEET?
LEAD TEAM 6 meets the first Wednesday of each month* from September-May, starting September 4, 2019
*Exception: In January 2020, we meet the second Wednesday.
There is a mandatory kid/parent orientation on August 25 at 12:15pm in The Loft.
HOW MUCH is the COST?
Cost is $40 to pay for shirt, binder, supplies, etc. If this is a hindrance, please contact Sarah Morgan before registering.
