My wife, Amy, and I grew up in Southern California. We have four great kids: Kelsey, Ryan, Conner, and Tyler and have been members of Faith Bible Church since 2002.

Our family spent many years moving back and forth between Army assignments in the United States and East and West Germany. Our lives after that took us to the energy industry where we again had both US and foreign assignments. Overseas this time was Moscow, Russia.

Moving every three or four years taught us the value of making friends quickly. It has also given us the passion to warmly welcome those who may be visitors themselves.

Amy and I are on the high school cook team and lead a small group Bible Study. Separately, I have served on the Missions Committee, the Building Committee, and worked on the Church survey. Amy has led women's Bible studies and served on the Youth Pastor search committee.

I grew up in a divorced, but Christian family. I was in my early teens when I personalized those family beliefs and surrendered my life to Jesus.

Like everyone, our lives have had their challenges. But we are firmly convinced that God is sovereign in our lives, loves us beyond measure, and, while we may not always see it, has His best in mind for us. Nothing that touches us has not first flowed through His loving hands.

Carol and I have been married for 40 years and we have 2 sons. Our oldest son, Brian, and his wife, Joy, have 3 children…3-year old Ella, and 1 year-old twins, Quinn and Macey. They live in The Woodlands. Alec and Libby have a one-year old son, Luke, and they live in San Francisco.

Carol and I were both raised in the Midwest, and actually met in high school. I attended Bradley University where I majored in business and played football, and Carol got her teaching degree from the University of Illinois. While I went to graduate school at Northern Illinois University, Carol started her career as a teacher of 2nd and 3rd graders.
We moved to The Woodlands in 1988 from Boulder, Colorado when I took a new banking position in Houston. I retired from Bank of America in 2007, where my most recent roles were in online banking and employee satisfaction. I am currently working with a new non-profit organization that is focused on creating new revenue for Christian ministries.

Carol and I both came to know Christ as young adults, and each of us was led to the Lord by a close friend. Having moved several times, we have compassion for visitors who are new to the area, and who are looking to find a new church…we remember how that feels. Carol and I lead a small group and attend an adult community, and Carol has been very active in Women’s Ministry. I have had the privilege of working on the Church survey, the Greeter Ministry team, and as a Deacon. In 2008, we were able to make a trip to Israel, which was life changing! We are grateful for loving family and friends who continually support our spiritual walk.

Testimony:
Brad was born in Zanesville, Ohio and moved to Marietta, Ohio when he was eleven. From the time Brad was a small boy, he believed what he was taught at church and in Sunday School. However, it wasn’t’ until Brad attended a series of youth revival meetings at the age that he realized first, that Jesus died on the cross specifically for his sins and second, that Jesus desired to have a personal relationship with him. Although their were few sound churches in his home town, Brad was discipled by a couple of college students from the local InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), and participated with a group of High School students which the IVCF helped to sponsor. Brad saw a number of his friends come to Christ during these years, and enjoyed the long trips home from football and basketball games because it gave him captive time to share his faith with his teammates. Brad went to college at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, where he studied accounting and economics. After college he moved to Houston to work for an international oil company, being transferred in and out of Houston with interim assignments in Florida, Saudi Arabia, and California. Over the years, Brad has taught in both youth and adult Sunday schools and served on various leadership boards and ministries. In Saudi Arabia he had the opportunity to teach in a home church with more than 30 adults and many children.

Family:
Brad is married to Rosalie, and they have three children. Rebecca, the oldest, is married and lives in San Antonio where she works in the hotel industry and her husband is a professor at Trinity. Jared, the youngest, is pursuing an acting career where he is currently enrolled in a masters program at the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. Jonathan, the middle child, lives in Houston and remains a constant source of encouragement and blessing. Next to the Lord, Rosalie has been the one constant in Brad’s live as they have shared 31 years of marriage and innumerable blessings and challenges.

Ministry:
Brad and Rosie have attended Faith since returning to Houston from California in 1992. Brad enjoys teaching adult classes and participating in a small group. Brad currently serves as chairman of the board, and provides liaison support to the welcoming and greeting ministries and evangelism efforts.

Family
I grew up near Philadelphia, PA in Moorestown, New Jersey, the youngest of 5 children. I spent most of my high school years playing football, basketball, baseball and track. I have always considered myself an avid sports fan, (fanatical?). I met my wife Kitty of 41 years while attending a small Liberal Arts college outside Philadelphia. I soon discovered she was as involved in sports as me. After graduating and getting married we moved to Houston in 1971 via North Carolina and New York. We moved to the Woodlands in 1976 where there were only 1200 other residents. Our son Lyle was 4 and our daughter Jenny was 2. It was an exciting time to move to the Woodlands and establish many traditions of our “New Home Town”. (The original slogan of the Woodlands) Our youngest daughter Carrie was born in Conroe. (the nearest hospital in 1979.) We had a busy but fun time following the successes of all 3 children as they participated in sports and various school and church activities. It seems like there was never a time when we were not carpooling from one activity to another. Lyle is now married to Sharon and attends Faith along with our 2 oldest grandchildren Andrew and Meredith. Jenny is married to Blake and lives in Frisco, Texas with their 3 children, Kayla, Zachary, and Bingham. Carrie and Matt have been married for 2 years and recently moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Career:
I've been in the construction equipment business for 40 years with various companies within the Houston area. I am currently the equipment manager of a successful 100 year old construction firm and love what I am doing. Kitty has worked in the public schools for over 20 years. She currently works for Conroe ISD as an Educational Diagnostician.

Faith:
While growing up my family regularly attended a denominational church but to my knowledge I never heard the simple message of the gospel
After a hiatus from church during my college years, Kitty and I married and began attending church again where we served in various leadership capacities. After moving to the Woodlands Kitty and I became founding members of a denominational church where we taught Sunday school and served in leadership. One of the members of the church invited Kitty to Bible Study Fellowship ( BSF). Both of us began attending and for the first time we heard the gospel message. Shortly thereafter Kitty and I accepted God's free gift of salvation. I am currently in my 18th year of involvement in BSF. Both Kitty and I felt God calling us to attend a Bible believing church and began attending Fellowship Bible Church in 1987. While at Faith I have served on the deacon board and was invited to join the elder board in 1993. For the last 16 years I have served in various ministries. I feel like God has given me the gift of serving others whether it is through cooking, building, fixing, car care, etc. Most recently I am involved with the children's ministry with Adam Lacy. I praise God for the gifts of teaching, love, and relationships my family and I have received at Faith Bible Church.

Peggy and I married at age 22, right after college and just before I was accepted to medical school. We've been married for 37 years and have three daughters; one in heaven, and two who are grown. Our first daughter, Kathryn was born with Down's Syndrome during my Family Practice residency and died at 14 months, following heart surgery. Our grown girls are Bethany and Jackie. Bethany and her husband, Mack are Physician Assistants in Dallas and have one daughter (Charley Jane) with another little girl due in August '09. Jackie lives in Washington D.C. and has been working for the International Justice Mission (IJM.org) since December '08.

I grew up attending church regularly with my family (second of four boys), but did not understand the good news of the gospel until high school. In 1965, the ministry of Young Life decided to come to Houston, and began at our high school (Memorial). The summer after my junior year, I went to Frontier Ranch with two other guys, and at the end of the week I prayed to receive Christ. His grace has led me ever since.

After completing my Family Practice residency (summer of '79) at Baylor in Houston, I decided to set up practice in the Woodlands. Through friends, we heard that Conroe Bible Church was planting a church in the Woodlands that had begun meeting in June. We moved in early July; found the young church meeting in a dance studio in Oak Ridge and have been at the church ever since.  I served in an advisory role for the first 15 years and am currently the elder involved with Worship, Women's ministry, and Prayer.

After 26 years of practicing as a Family doctor, the Lord moved me along to a new work that I am thoroughly enjoying as a medical director for Lighthouse Hospice. Another interest and love of mine over the last 15 years, has been talking to, and informing teenagers about the facts, and associated dangers of sexually transmitted disease, and staying healthy through abstinence. I also spend some time at Memorial Hermann Hospital, The Woodlands as medical informatics director, helping doctors as we transition to paperless medical records.

Did I mention that I have one phenomenal granddaughter and one on the way?

My wife Betsy and I have been married for 31 years and are the proud parents of three children. Our oldest is Emily, 27, who teaches math at Northbrook High School in Houston where she serves as chairman of the math department and was recently named teacher of the year. (Sorry, unrestrained parental pride). Neal, 24, is the student worship pastor at Fellowship of The Woodlands. Our youngest son Seth, 20, is a freshman at Texas A&M where he runs the intermediate hurdles - whoop! We have lived in the Woodlands since 1984 when I joined fellow elder Dr. Jack Lesch at Woodlands Family Practice. (Jack has since retired - I am jealous).

I grew up in a non-Christian home with divorced parents and attended church sporadically without any understanding of what Christianity was really about.  I was confirmed in the church and served as an acolyte but never believed in Jesus.  After traveling to Boston from my native Houston to go to college God was kind enough to send a believer into my life to tell and show me about Jesus.  Essentially this friend loved me into the kingdom and I was then fortunate enough to be a part of strong college group at Park Street Church where I was discipled for several years.  I am still grateful for the solid foundation that they provided me.

We have been at Faith since 1984 when we first moved to the Woodlands and it was still called Fellowship Bible Church.  Since then we have had the privilege of knowing and serving with some of God's finest people.  We are proud to be a part of Faith Bible Church today.

I have been an elder for 4 years and currently am charged with shepherding the youth ministry, providing support to our very able youth pastor Mark Cornelison.  Along the way I have been Missions Team Chairman, a small group leader for close to a decade, and a teacher of the recently ended Parents of Teens Adult Community.  Although our youngest is now 19, I still have a heart for the difficulties of both being a teen and raising one.  This season of life is an extraordinarily challenging one and I want to help both parents and teens prosper through these years.

I was raised in a non-Christian home but was instilled with strong moral principles by what, in some instances, was taught or modeled and in many instances what was just absorbed by having to deal with the consequences of living in a fallen world. God blessed me, however, with the opportunity to attend Grove City College which really set the framework for much of the rest of my live. I was led to a relationship with Jesus Christ through the efforts of my roommate and one of my professors. In addition, I met my wife, Kathy, who truly is my partner in ministry and life. I also have to admit that my bias towards conservative fiscal policy, free markets and a general dislike for tyranny are all results of my experiences at Grove City.

After college Kathy and I returned to Cleveland, Ohio where we began our family which is now made up of 3 teenagers who are each progressing on their own individual journeys. During our journey we have been introduced to tremendous biblical teaching from the pulpit and when a work opportunity allowed us to move to Houston we were again blessed by God with an introduction to FBC. Since moving, we have seen God continue to lead us in every step to become more involved in serving His purposes. In 2007 I left my position as President of Chart Energy and Chemicals, Inc and have had the opportunity to get involved in Christian Youth Theater for which I serve as the Chairman for the Houston area. Kathy serves on the Board of Ballet Excelsior of Houston. Both of these organizations are dedicated to taking back the arts to serve God. We see great synergy in the ability to have your extracurricular activities serve His purpose.

Within FBC, God has blessed us with the abilities to serve Him in many ways over the years that we have been here. We have participated in AWANA, teaching of Sunday school for various grades, nursery duty, Pursuit teams, small group leader, mission committee, mission trips, VBS, Deacon, etc. But I have to admit that the most challenging will be the honor that He has bestowed by asking me to serve this church as an Elder. I ask that you join me in praying each day that I and the rest of the Elder board will do His will in our execution of our duties.

Together, my wife Tina, and I teach the Young Marrieds Adult Community. Marriage building is an area that I am passionate about ministering to, as God has blessed Tina and I with 30 wonderful years of marriage. I have served in AWANA Clubs, Youth Ministry, Men’s Ministry and as a Deacon for several years. One of the greatest blessings that Tina and I have received is to have been a part of a Small Group in this church for (15) years. We joined Faith in 1989, coming from a small Baptist church in San Antonio.

As a young boy, I lived all over the world, because my father was a pilot in the Air Force until he retired in San Antonio. This is where I met Tina in the fifth grade. Growing up, Tina and I went to the same schools and in 1979; we married and started our family in San Antonio.

We have three sons, our oldest, Austen is a graduate of the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em) and is currently employed as an Account Manager in the company that Tina and I own. Austen was actively involved in AWANA’s and Youth Group. Our middle son, Aron, is a graduate of Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘Em Up Kats), and is married to Elyse, who he met in Youth Group at Faith. Aron, who was also actively involved in AWANA’s and the Youth Group, presently leads a youth Pursuit Team. We are blessed to have Aron and Elyse in our Young Marrieds class. Our youngest son Collin is attending College in College Station and will soon attend Texas A&M University (Gig “Em!). From Cubbies in AWANA’s to Senior High Youth Group Collin literally grew up in this church.
