Purpose, Vision, Values
Our Purpose:
The purpose of Faith Bible Church is to glorify God by experiencing the grace and truth of Jesus Christ in ways that transform our lives, our families and our world. (John 1:14)

Our Values:

Free Grace
We value grace, God’s free gift of unconditional acceptance, love and favor, as the means of salvation, the motivation for the Christian life and the model for our relationships with others.
(Ephesians 2:4-10; 2 Corinthians 9:8-9; 1 Peter 4:10)

Relevant Biblical Teaching
We value relevant biblical teaching that penetrates our hearts, renews our minds and transforms our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 3:16-17)

Genuine Worship
We value genuine worship that proclaims the glory of God and celebrates His presence in our lives, both individually and together as a church family. (John 4:22-25; Psalm 100)

Christ-centered Families
We value Christ-centered families and the partnership we share with parents in helping children and students grow spiritually. (Genesis 2:21-25; Ephesians 5:22-33; I Peter 3:1-7; Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Ephesians 6:1-4)

Authentic Community
We value authentic community characterized by unconditional acceptance, vulnerable sharing, mutual care, accountability and spiritual growth. (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:23-25; Ephesians 4:1-4; 1 John 4:7-11)

Sacrificial Service
We value sacrificial service that uses personal resources and abilities to serve God and others.
(John 13:12-18; Romans 12:4-8; Galatians 5:13-15)

Compassionate Outreach
We value compassionate outreach that expresses the love, life and message of Christ to our neighbors and to our community. (2 Corinthians 9:8-11; 1Timothy 6:17-19)

Strategic Missions
We value strategic missions that mobilize home grown missionaries, national pastors, financial resources, purposeful projects and personal involvement to maximize our impact for Christ in focused areas of the world. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)

Our Vision:

We are a family on a journey: giving grace, living truth and reflecting Jesus.

We are an unfinished collection of travelers, single and married, young and old, bound together and captured by a glimpse of Jesus big enough to convince us that life is not about us but all about Him. We pursue transforming truth rather than stagnant knowledge. We desire to constantly move toward one another in unconditional love and forgiveness, worshipping together, playing together, living life together. We are wounded healers, embracing the stranger, strengthening the weak, empowering the poor and seeking the lost. We are seed-throwers, fire-starters, hope-peddlers and grace-givers. We want our world to be different because God has sent us.

Our Strategy for 2010-11:*

Instead of simply receiving the grace of God, we will equip our family to give grace.

• We will help each other learn how to ask for forgiveness and forgive, how to give unconditional love and grace, and how to pursue reconciliation and right relationships.
• We will teach these relational truths to children, youth and adults.
• We will equip each other with training for grace-based family living.
• We will provide practical experiences in reconciliation and healing relationships.

Instead of simply knowing God’s Word, we will equip our family to live truth.

• We will develop and communicate a clear path for spiritual growth available for children, youth and adults.
• We will develop a Life Coaching ministry to empower the most mature of our family to mentor the next generation of leadership.
• We will develop online spiritual growth training resources for individuals, mentors, small group leaders, teachers and volunteers.

Instead of simply seeking Christ alone, we will equip our family to reflect Jesus to others.

• We will encourage our family to reach out to the hurting by training and utilizing lay counselors.
• We will equip and encourage our family to share the message of life in Jesus with neighbors, friends and coworkers through evangelism training and through providing practical opportunities to share our faith.
• We will focus our efforts by developing local strategic partnerships that will enable every member of our family to serve in ministry to our community.
• We will develop a plan to strengthen and expand our mission’s strategic partnerships.
